ICT Reboot Ideathon Competition

Students from the Faculty of Industry and Energy Technology achieved second place in the "The One Circle ICT Reboot Ideathon". National Skills Competition 2025

New Cairo Technological University achieved first place in the National Skills Competition 2025. Student Philip Emad from the Renewable Energy program qualified to represent Egypt in the WorldSkills Competition 2026 in Shanghai, China, highlighting the university’s commitment to developing real skills for the future and the global job market.

Smart Glasses Innovation for the Visually Impaired

Radwa Waref, a second-year Mechatronics student at New Cairo Technological University, won first place in the International Forum for Technological Education with her innovative project: smart glasses designed to assist visually impaired individuals. The invention helps users identify currencies, recognize colors, and detect household faults through Bluetooth audio guidance, and it has been officially registered as an Egyptian patent.

Africa Tech Challenge – Mobile Applications

Students from New Cairo Technological University won second place in the Mobile Applications category at the 10th Africa Tech Challenge (ATC). The competition brought together 142 teams from 12 African countries, highlighting innovation and technical skills. The university team achieved this success under the supervision of Dr. Rasha El-Sotouhy, reflecting the strong capabilities of NCTU students in technology and mobile development.

Biogas Project – Intelaqa 3 Competition

A student team from New Cairo Technological University won second place in the “Intelaqa 3” competition with their innovative Biogas project. The project focuses on renewable energy solutions by converting organic waste into clean energy, supporting environmental sustainability and highlighting the students’ ability to develop practical technological solutions for future energy challenges.

Best Eco-Friendly University Award 2025

New Cairo Technological University won first place in the “Best Eco-Friendly University” competition in 2025. The award was presented by the Minister of Higher Education in recognition of the university’s outstanding environmental initiatives, sustainability programs, and its commitment to supporting green development and environmental awareness within the academic community.

Alamein Universities Championship

Students from New Cairo Technological University participated in the first edition of the Alamein Universities Championship held in New Alamein City. The event included various sports such as five-a-side football, padel tennis, beach volleyball, and a running marathon, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting student activities and developing their skills beyond the classroom.

GEN Z Innovation Program – Fit Socket Team

A team of female students from New Cairo Technological University won in the GEN Z Innovation Program with their project "Fit Socket". The project focuses on developing a low-cost adjustable prosthetic socket for people with disabilities using artificial intelligence and smart control technologies. The team received funding and mentorship worth one million Egyptian pounds to continue developing their innovative solution.

Anti-Drug Awareness Marathon

Students from New Cairo Technological University participated in the Administrative Capital Marathon held on the International Day Against Drug Abuse. The event brought together more than 1000 students from different Egyptian universities under the slogan “Invest in Prevention – You Are Stronger Than Drugs”, promoting awareness, healthy lifestyles, and the role of youth in protecting society.

Startup Olympics 2024

Students from New Cairo Technological University participated in the regional qualifiers of the Startup Olympics 2024 held at Helwan University. The competition included 66 teams from universities across Greater Cairo, where NCTU students presented innovative projects in mechatronics, prosthetics, and renewable energy, supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 for innovation and sustainable development.

Technological Universities Youth Week

Students from New Cairo Technological University participated in the opening ceremony of the first Technological Universities Youth Week held in Abu Qir, Alexandria. The event brought together 600 students from 10 technological universities, featuring a flag parade and various youth activities that highlighted teamwork, national pride, and collaboration among students.

Five-a-Side Football Championship

The football team of New Cairo Technological University participated in the Five-a-Side Football Championship held at the Higher Institute for Advanced Studies in Katameya. The team delivered an outstanding performance that reflected teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, proudly representing the university among participating institutions.

National Kung Fu Championship

Students from New Cairo Technological University achieved outstanding results in the National Kung Fu Championship for individual sports organized by the Ministry of Higher Education. Student Ziad Alaa won the bronze medal with third place, while student Radwa Sayed secured the silver medal, highlighting the university’s support for sports excellence and student talent.

Bodybuilding Championship

Students from New Cairo Technological University participated in the Individual Bodybuilding Championship organized by the Ministry of Higher Education. The university achieved notable results, with student Mohamed Yasser Abu Samra winning second place in the Physique category, while student Ahmed Salah secured sixth place in the Bodybuilding category, reflecting the university’s strong support for student sports activities.

Hult Prize & Genius Forum Achievement

Student Youssef Salah won second place, while student Rana Allam secured third place in the 60 kg category, reflecting the university’s continued support for sports excellence and student talent.

New Cairo Technological University achieved second place in the National Individual Games Championship for Tennis and Padel organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education.
